Cutty Shark’s mission is to fabricate
a versatile, quality piece of
computer driven stone and metal processing
equipment, and make it available to
small shops in the USA, Europe and
South America. Cutty Shark
recognizes the need for an
affordable machine that includes
the more important attributes of
larger machines, which sell at a
much greater cost

Cutty Shark was started by Arthur
Prescott in 1996 in California. Research and
Development has been ongoing since
it’s inception with CNC mills and
routers capable of processing metal,
wood and plastic. As trends have
changed in manufacturing, Cutty Shark
grew to encompass the CNC machine
for cutting, polishing and edging
granite and other stone. When
consumer need met our finalized
prototype, the time was considered
right to launch the Cutty Shark
business in Florida.

Arthur Prescott is a Tampa native with
a keen insight into business in Florida
and around the world. His background
in aviation as a fixed wing pilot and
engineer and as a machinist has given
him the ability to design and build what
he has envisioned. He has been
involved in business throughout the
US, Mexico, Panama, the Middle East
and South Africa. It is Mr. Prescott’s
belief that machines such as the Cutty
Shark CNC saw can possess both a
high standard of quality and yet retain
a price that is affordable to small
businesses. More importantly, he has
proved it.

|
Although Mr. Prescott oversees every
aspect of the business from monitoring
cold sales calls to the handshake after
the final inspection, he also has a
small, but outstanding staff, each an
expert in his own field.
Our design engineers come from a
wide variety of job shops and have
combined years of experience from the
beginning of CNC right up to the latest
technology to create these
state-of-the-art pieces of machinery at
affordable prices. The drivers,
controllers, and motors are fine tuned
to work together effectively. This is
true plug-and-play technology
bordering on perfection. These units
will provide you with the craftsmanship
capabilities to manifest your dreams
and will enable you to put them into
stone, raw metal or other materials
regardless of whether you can drive a
nail straight or not. All the designs,
ideas, and products that you have
imagined in the past may now be
produced. Now you will only be limited
by your imagination for many years to
come. We have base units with 2
amps and 40 volts to get you started
or step up to the 4 amp system with
over 500 in. oz. of torque.

CNC (Computer Numerically
Controlled) saws for cutting, polishing,
and carving stone, particularly granite.
The machines are built from a basic
design and concept with modifications
incorporated to customer
specifications. The fabrication and
partial assembly are performed at Cutty
Shark facilities. Assembly is completed
at the customer’s site.
As a service to augment the CNC
machine production, CUTTY SHARK
also fabricates other apparatus and
equipment common to granite shops
such as racks to hold large sheets of
granite or marble, and additions and
enhancements to existing equipment.
Cutty Shark also capitalizes on it’s
owner’s reputation and provides
consulting services in the area of
design, engineering, fabrication and
maintenance.
Additionally, Cutty Shark fabricates
CNC equipment for metal working mills
and wood routers as an accessory to
an existing machine either completely
installed or in kit form.
