The CUTTY SHARK runs on 110 or 120 AC. What this means to you is that you can install the Cutty Shark in any room, building or shop with normal house-type wiring. You could even set it up in your garage! 220 AC-three phase current is not required. This reduces the likelihood of electrical shocks and the necessity of having expensive equipment such as vectors and other hand held machines that require AC to DC converters to protect the workers from electrocution.
By using TTL Logic circuitry, lower voltages may be utilized. Only 1.5 kw of electricity are required to run the Cutty Shark versus 20 kw for the average saw. At 15 cents per kwh, you can see the drop in your production costs immediatately.
A polished finish can be be done in four moves. Saw at 15 inches per minute. 400 grit initial polish at 10 inches per minute. 800 grit intermediate polish at 10 inches per minute. 1200 grit final polish at 10 inches per minute.
Sloped cuts for drain board Finish edges, bullnose, ogee or fancy cuts of your choice
The concept of the Cutty Shark comes from years of experience doing maintenance on all the big, expensive machines costing over $100,000.00. Parts have to be ordered from Germany or Italy, usually with a minimum of 2 to 3 weeks lead time. The Cutty Shark is based on aircraft manufacturing technology and does not require special maintenance, factory trained mechanics or special one-off parts. Any part can be removed and replaced in less than 24 hours, usually in about 15 minutes, causing a minimum of down time.
